Mystical guidance

The Awakening Centre was originally unveiled in Winnipeg, Canada.

Shortly before opening to the public, unprecedented changes across the world revealed a golden destiny for the centre. The project found a new home in a warm, lush and green landscape called Ajijic, Mexico – situated in the middle of a place known as the Sierra Madre Mountain Range.

Awakening people from all over the world are gathering here by fate, and we want to welcome you to be one of them. Wether we see you in Ajijic in person, or you join in one of our many sessions online, awakening together is why we gather.

No teacher. No student. Just a group of people who want to be together again for a while, in celebration of our own true nature.

Namaste Lake Chapala

At Namaste Village we draw from the spiritual teachings of many traditions that are centered on an individual awakening to our Oneness with God. Our primary focus are the principles found in the Unity Movement, as well as many other non-dual paths including A Course In Miracles. Most important is the willingness to step into the EXPERIENCE of awakening through hearts opened to compassion and love. James Twyman, the spiritual leader of our community is also a Franciscan friar and priest in the Episcopal tradition, so you’ll also find a healthy dose of St. Francis energy at Namaste.

Both here in the community and online, we gather together at 10AM ET Monday – Friday to meditate, share our peace and sing together, and on Sunday at noon ET with Reverend Johanys. Check out our online calendar, and feel free to join us in any of the classes or sessions that are taking place during the week; including dance, book study groups, expression sessions and yoga.

Shared meals from Monday to Friday give us the chance to interact and deepen our commitment to our own awakening.

We’d love to see you here in person, or, come and join us online. Love loves to expand itself. Come awaken with us to the truth of who you already are! We’d love to connect.

Villa Del Angel

In the 1970s, Helen Schucman, a Jewish, atheist, professor of Medical Psychology at Columbia University, began hearing a “voice.”

At first, it frightened her, and she was resistant. Then with the encouragement and support of a colleague, William Thetford, she let down her defenses and started listening. The voice said, “This is a course in miracles. It is a required course. Only the time you take it is voluntary.”

Villa Del Angel is a sanctuary – a home for you – to come – to volunteer your time to explore with us, a community inspired by Helen Schucmen’s work, A Course in Miracles.
